Deductible Assurance

Combat High Water Damage Deductibles

Technology To Protect Your Project, Deductibles To Protect Your Bottom Line

Water damage continues to be the leading cause of loss in four-wall construction, triggering high deductibles that threaten profitability.

Introducing Deductible Assurance from Insight Risk, a tech-enabled water damage deductible buydown strategy that not only restores financial objectives and cost certainties, but also leads to better protected projects with fewer and significantly less severe water damage losses.

Deductible Assurance pairs proven water damage detection and mitigation technologies with insurance and risk control strategies that allow you to choose the optimal water damage deductible for your Builder’s Risk project portfolio.

By selecting one of Insight Risk’s three carefully chosen protection packages, you can reduce your water damage deductible to as little as $50,000 per occurrence. Technology and premium cost estimates are available during project bidding, pre‑construction, and up to policy binding, giving you accurate program cost information on your timetable.

Compatible with most U.S. Builder’s Risk policies, Deductible Assurance can be a valuable addition to your MBR or project-specific program and strategy.

Option 2

Environmental Sensors and Flow Monitoring

Option 1 plus non-invasive inline water flow monitoring in real time. Detect leaks and open faucets that would otherwise go unnoticed for hours or days.

Option 3

Environmental Sensors, Flow Monitoring, and Shut-off Valves

Option 2 plus remote operated water shutoff capability to detect and stop water within minutes. This option also offers permanent benefits for owners when the building converts to operational status.

In addition to state-of-the-art hardware and software, each solution includes a custom-designed prevention and response plan, 24/7 monitoring with instantaneous notification of potential loss events via text message, email, and in-app alerts, and periodic status reports including alert details, estimates of averted losses, and other risk control insights that help our clients learn how to manage water damage risks more effectively.
